Stollery Peer Support Tree

Project Duration: 3 Weeks, June 2018 // Furniture Design / Industrial Design

The Family Centered Care department at the Stollery Children's Hospital approached us to design an intervention to improve the lives of patients and their families at the Stollery.

Through qualitative research and interviews with families who have stayed at the Stollery, we identified peer support and being able to share stories with other families creates a sense of comfort and community. We created a low-tech interactive tree installation that families can utilize to share their stories, words of encouragement, and even contact information to encourage peer support at the Stollery Children's Hospital.
